SigEp IN Zeta is a high-performing chapter at both a local and national level. Each year, both our chapter and individual members receive recognition for their hard work and accomplishments.

Buchanan Outstanding Chapter

The Buchanan Outstanding Chapter Award ("Buchanan Cup") is awarded to every other year at SigEp's grand chapter conclave. Chapters that receive the Buchanan Cup are among the top fraternity chapters in the country and excel in every area of operations. Chapters that receive a Buchanan Cup five consecutive times receive a gold Buchanan Cup in recognition of a decade of sustained excellence.

IN Zeta was recognized with a Buchanan Cup at the 2021 Conclave, as well as in the following years: 2019, 2017, 2013, 2011, 2007, 2005, 2003, 2001, 1985, 1973.

Fraternity of the Year

SigEp at Valparaiso University has consistently won the President's Award for Fraternal Excellence ("Fraternity of the Year") nearly every year for the last 25 years.
