Thank you for your interest in Sigma Phi Epsilon at Valparaiso University! Joining our fraternity will provide you with lifelong brothers and help you become a better, more balanced man. Please contact our VP Recruitment to inform him of your interest in joining so that he ensure you receive information about our recruitment events, and so that he can answer any questions you might have about our fraternity.

Membership Requirements
When Can I Join?
Valparaiso University operates on a delayed recruitment schedule, which means that freshmen are not able to receive bids to join a fraternity until their second semester. Students transferring from a different university are able to join our fraternity as long as they meet our other membership requirements.
Academic Requirements
In order to join our fraternity, a potential new member must have a cumulative GPA greater than 2.80.
In order to remain a member in good standing in our fraternity, brothers must earn a semester GPA greater than a 3.00 every semester that they are in the fraternity. We have implemented a support system to help brothers that are struggling academically to meet our GPA requirements: more information about this system is located in the "Programs" section of this website (to be linked here once it is created).
Inclusion Policy
Sigma Phi Epsilon does not discriminate based on race or sexual identity. While we are a single-gender organization, our brotherhood is open to all individuals that identify as male. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact our VP Recruitment.
