I know this time is hard for a lot of us, but here’s some ways to stay sane during this quarantine!
- Go outside for 30 minutes every day
-
-
- Even if it’s just for a walk or even just sitting outside if its a nice day in the beautiful midwest
-
- Maintain a consistent sleep cycle
-
-
- This can help you get yourself in a better rhythm with classes and without all of our extracurriculars this is a great time to catch up on much needed sleep
-
- Cooking for yourself
-
-
- This is a good opportunity to try to make some healthy meals for yourself and do some adulting. You could buy food for the week and cook it all up one day and be set
-
- Workout at least three times a week
-
-
- I know with most gyms being closed this is brutal, but if you’re getting all couped up and anxious I’ve found it’s beneficial to just do some pushups or go for a short run
-
- Call your friends
-
-
- We are all very social creatures who get lonely and just talking to a friend (who is most likely also lonely) can make you feel a lot better
-
- Do some virtual slices
-
-
- Great time to get to know your brothers better
- Also especially get slices with any of the seniors that you have not yet!
-
- Play video games with friends
-
-
- Technology is magical and we have a lot of minecraft going on so everyone should take some time to relax from classes and enjoy some games
-
- Clean “office space”
-
- This is very helpful to have a specific place where you go for class and do homework. It can make it easier to focus and if it is separate and isolated it can help you not constantly think about school
